kepribadian yang menonjol dari diri Rob itu adalah: KEBERSAHAJAANNYA. Rob istimewa karena dia tidak merasa dirinya istimewa. meski sudah menjadi pujaan dan idola dunia, dia tetap merasa menjadi manusia biasa. itu terlihat dari bagaimana Rob tidak terlalu memusingkan untuk tampil keren, macho dan sexy. Rob selalu ingin menjadi dirinya sendiri, apa yang membuatnya nyaman itu yang akan dia pilih.
Rob juga tidak bernafsu pada popularitas. dia justru lebih suka untuk tidak menjadi populer, karena dengan begitu dia bisa menikmati hidup sebagai manusia biasa. Look, untuk remaja barat seumuran dia yang biasanya gila pesta, hura-hura, gonta-ganti cewek, Rob jutru punya pemikiran matang tentang bagaimana menjalani hidup yang baik. Rob sangat menghargai cewek. dan dia punya tipe cewek tertentu yang tidak disadarinya sendiri. karena Rob selalu bilang dia gak tahu tipe cewek seperti apa yang ditaksirnya. karena terkadang ketika dia jatuh cinta dia selalu dikagetkan dengan tipe cewek yang ditaksirnya. selalu diluar dugaan. Itu artinya, Rob suka sama tipe cewek yang “gak sembarangan”. dia jatuh cinta bukan karena fisik, tapi karena hati. ketika hati Rob naksir dengan hati seorang cewek…maka, dia pun jatuh cinta.
Rob juga tipe cowok setia, yang gak bakalan ninggalin/mutusin cewek yang disayangnya tapi justru dia menunggu ceweknya yang mutusin dia..kalau memang hubungan mereka sudah nggak bisa dipertahanin lagi. Rob bilang justru dia yang suka mengacaukan hubungan kalau dia sedang menjalin hubungan cinta ma seorang cewek. Rob bilang dia yang lebih sering membuat ceweknya gak bahagia. Begitulah Rob, dia selalu merasa kurang…biasa…gak istimewa. padahal…itulah istimewanya dia!
Rob itu bener-bener COWOK BAIK-BAIK. banyak orang2 Hollywood papan atas yang kenal Rob mengatakan hal yang serupa, diantaranya: presenter E-entertainment Ryan seacrest, Hugh Jackman, bahkan OPRAH pun mengatakan hal yang sama. semua orang “baik’ merasakan kebaikan Rob. Kalian bisa merasakan ketika Rob tersenyum, atau ketika kalian menatap matanya. itu benar-benar milik orang yang hatinya “baik”. sampai2 aku [para Robsessed] khawatir sejak New Moon, Rob yang makin terkenal akan berubah seperti artis2 Hollywood lain yang kepribadiannya makin parah seiring dengan ketenaran mereka. Tapi…syukurlah, hingga detik ini aku lihat tidak ada yang berubah dari Rob.
Rob juga pernah bilang untuk tidak pernah akan berubah, setenar dan sesukses apapun dia (waktu era Twilight). dan dia membuktikannya. senyumnya masih sama, tatapan matanya masih sama, sikap canggung dan malu2nya masih sama, Rob itu kayak tipikal orang timur daripada barat. Dia kayak “berbudaya”, punya norma2 yang dia yakini sendiri, dia punya aturan untuk hidupnya sendiri yang dia tahu bakal menjaga arah hidupnya agar lebih baik. agar hidup dengan bahagia.
Rob pernah bilang kalau dia ingin menikah dan membentuk keluarga kecilnya sendiri, dan ia..ingin jadi ayah yang baik untuk anak-anaknya kelak. Yes Rob..I know you can make it true..
